Low

from I Am a Guest by Zac Clark

about

On a trip to Connecticut to play a reunion show with my old bandmates I spent a grey morning in Shelton with my dear friend Coley and we found about half of this one somewhere in the darkness. I forgot all about it until the morning I'd packed all of my things and readied myself to drive from LA to Vermont for the trip that ended up yielding this record, and from one coast to the other, filling in the gaps became an exercise for understanding my place as well as one of many calls to a love found in the midst of great turmoil and one I hope to find again when that ever-elusive gap, the in-between, is found and truly honored.

lyrics

Made of molecules, born of miles. By the road there is a river; let it carry you awhile. The sun will follow you. The moon will wait. May you find shelter in the dark and let the morning guide your way.

When you find it you will know. It seems all we've ever known is hanging on, when all we need's to just let go. In time we'll see the in between. The highs are high but the lows are all so

Low hangs the heavy heart that weighs its spirit down with thoughts and cannot pull the two apart. A silent soul with a steady speed is set to center on the space between desire and a need.

When you find it you will know. It seems all we've ever known is hanging on, when all we need's to just let go. In time we'll see the in between. The highs are high but the lows are all so low.

Start wearing the gifts you've been given and they will grow; when you find it you will know.
